Posted on 18 April 2017

Eddie Torres Jr., son of the legendary salsa dancer Eddie Torres and flamenco dancer Nelida Tirado was born and raised amongst the infectious rhythms of salsa and flamenco. His countless childhood year’s sitting in rehearsal’s, backstage and on tour, sparked his interest in the arts. He began studying music at the age of 12 and continued his music studies at The Celia Cruz High School of Music. At 14, he began dancing and excelled quickly as if he danced his entire life. He has trained at Ballet Hispanico of NY and Peridance Capezio Center, studying ballet, jazz and modern. He has had the privilege of beginning his professional career working with legendary salsa artists such as Tito Rojas, Victor Manuelle, Jose Albert “El Canario”, Alfredo de la Fe and the Eddie Torres Orchestra at venues such as the NY Copacabana, Manhattan Center, Lincoln Center, The Museo del Barrio and for the NY Knicks &, NJ Nets. In his special interview with us, he mentioned how ATTIITUDE is important for any artists and for any dance form. Watch his interview and get inspired.
